3 Simple Ways to Make Healthy Meals in 5 Minutes
Eating healthy and homemade doesn't have to take tons of time. It can be five minutes or less and take only one pan...simple! Here are three ways to make healthy meals in 5 minutes (or less).
Warm up a whole wheat flour tortilla and top with 2 tablespoons salsa and 1-2 tablespoons jalepeno jack cheese.. Lightly mist a skillet with olive or coconut oil spray and heat over high. Add 2 beaten eggs to the pan and scramble. Once cooked as desired, put eggs ontop of cheese. Fold burrito and eat. Yum! For added protien, you can add some beans. For added healthiness, you can add some greens.
Sante Fe Salad
Toss together 3/4 cup organic greens, 1/4 cup pico de gallo, and 1/2 cup each rinsed and drained canned black beans and canned organic corn. Add about 10 mini-cherry tomatoes and 1/4 of a avacado chopped.
Because it cooks so quickly, shrimp is the perfect 5 minute dinner. Season shrimp with paprika, cumin, cayenne, and cinnamon. Sauté for just minutes in butter (til pink but not rubbery). Toss with fresh lime juice and a little raw honey.
